Pastor Joe Schoblocher
 

Joe Schoblocher has been on the staff of Emmanuel Christian Assembly since 1983.  He ministered at local church plant in North Canton, Ohio from 1990 until assuming the pastorate at Emmanuel Christian Assembly in 1996.  He is the Chaplain of the Barberton Fire Department and is actively involved in the community with other pastors.  His heart is to see the churches united, working together to further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. 

Joe and his wife Cathy have four children and one grandchild, whom they love spending time with.  In the midst of their busy lives with ministry and family, you can often find them riding their bikes on the Erie Canal towpaths
 
 
 
 
  Pastor John Akins  
John Akins is founder and director of Salt & Light Ministries, an Apostolic team given to planting new churches and providing help and oversight to existing churches in the United States and overseas.

He is also founder of Emmanuel Christian Assembly in Barberton, Ohio, and Valley Covenant Fellowship in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

He has dedicated much time to a mission organization in Moldova, training leaders and providing humanitarian aid to several churches, orphanages and youth camps.

John has a deep burden to see the Body of Christ come together and expand the Kingdom of God.

He and his wife Sue reside in Barberton, Ohio
 
  Elder Robert Adkins  

Bob has been a member of Emmanuel Christian Assembly since 1990. He took part in the church planting in North Canton in 1990 until returning to ECA a couple of years later. He has been an Elder in the church since 2004. He visits the hospitals with the Pastor whenever possible and helps with different ministries when his work schedule allows. Bob is also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Bob and his wife, Donna, have lived in the Barberton , Clinton area all their lives. They have two grown sons, 3 granddaughters and one great granddaughter. In the fall and spring Bob and Donna can be seen on the Metro trails with their granddaughters walking to earn staffs and shields.
